An hour outside of Granada, Spain, in a field between grapevines, our Cook was creating paella – enough to feed 300 people!  In the way of such days, things were running behind schedule and it was well after 3 p.m. when the Paella was served.  In this photo a whole jar of seasoning had just been added to the mix.

Ha Ha Krista – It did not! It was undercooked, but I was ravenous as we had nothing else to eat all day! The cold on tap beer afterward tasted great though 🙂

That’s crazy! Paella is so good, but I’m glad I’m not the one having to do the mass cooking!

He was a professional caterer Amy, so he was used to it. Meanwhile all the locals brought food and drinks along with them and partied regardless. 🙂

Magnificent! Looks like a human could be hiding in that pot too! Was it delish? The colour makes it look very enticing 🙂

Ha Ha – Johanna – it wasn’t good, the rice was still raw, but we were starving so we ate it anyway!

Wow – paella for 300! I think I’d have a hard enough time making it for 2!

Evidently this is a common occurrence. Caterers specialize in cooking paella for special occasions – at the venue.
