IT’S RAINING CATS AND DOGS IN ITALY

I quite often take photos of other people’s animals when I am travelling, yet I never get the urge to do this when at home.

In a rare moment of introspection I realized that I take these photos because I am missing  my own animals.  At home I have one chicken (soon to be three), a cat, dog, cockatiel, a bathtub full of tropical fish in the garden and two gold fish in an internal aquarium.

O.K., I really can’t claim the gold fish as mine.  I hate cleaning that tank soooo much and am always trying to get rid of it.  Marty, is on their side though, and he is a powerful ally.  He cleans the fish tank without complaining and I must admit that when it is clean they do look beautiful.

O.K. I can’t totally claim the dog and cat either, as most nights Marty is the one that lets Buffy the dog out for a toilet break and it is Marty who cleans out Willow’s kitty litter tray.

It has to be said though that the Cockatiel is definitely mine.  Birdie hates Marty with a vengeance and will bite him gleefully if he gets half a chance!

O.K. they are our animals and I do miss them when we are away.  Here is the proof!

Hover over the photos for a mini description!

Gorgeous animals – we dont have any animals (anymore) but we sure would love a small dog – just wondering how we can travel with it 🙂

Yes, a little handbag dog (Paris eat your heart out) would be good. National Parks would be your only real worry as you can nearly always find a park elsewhere that would let you have a little dog.
