Squatter’s Art In Barcelona

The artwork on this building, which was just down the road from where we are staying in Barcelona, was created by the squatters living within.  The authorities allow them to stay in the building, because they run community art courses, from the building.  Their contributions to the community and this awesome albino tree-octopus make the area an interesting place to live.  This story was told to me by a local, over a pastry and coffee, on the footpath opposite.   In any case, it is fine street art!

Street L"Eixample, BarcelonaThe building is situated on a corner and the tentacles of the tree-octopus have grown in a bid to overtake the building, or so it seems!
