I just saw this Travel Theme over at Where’s My Backpack and had to make an entry, even though it is time for a new travel theme on Friday – Tomorrow.  You see Red is a favourite colour of mine.  It is a favourite colour in Asia also where it is considered to be lucky.  Design wise it draws your attention to the main event in an advertisement.

Here are my red photos.

Red Giant Pots – Springtime in Quebec City, Canada
Red “Bicing” Barcelona, Spain
Red Tomatoes from my Organic Garden, North Queensland, Australia
Red Wall on Fun City Tattoo Parlour, East Village, NYC, New York

This post forms part of Where’s My Backpack Travel Theme – Red.

Cheers, Budget Jan

I love these photos. Especially the top two. The red just pops.

I love red, too. Such a vital and energetic colour. And also, what a great idea focusing travel photos on a colour.

Hi Sophie, I entered a travel “colour” competition recently and had a file of red travel photos that I had been trying to choose from. It is a great idea though. I might do more colour files. Thanks for commenting. Love your site – so many travels. Jan

I started wearing only red a couple years ago when we started travelling full-time — it’s part of who I am now. http://www.sparklingadventures.com/index.php?id=1718

That is truly amazing. Was there are a reason you started only wearing red? I love most colours, I have a multi-coloured long skirt that is my most worn piece of clothing. I bought it on a holiday in Sydney at Paddington Markets about 5 years ago, it is now somewhat faded. I have a red dress that I got made in Hoi An, Vietnam and a multi-coloured blouse I also got made there. Also a pair of soft flowing baggy pants in a neutral pale brown that I bought in Spain. I like my clothes to have memories attached to them. Thanks for commenting, and keep sparkling. Jan

Thanks Juliann, I love colours, but reserve a special place for red. Jan
