This week’s Tuesday in Townsville photo is of outriggers on the Strand in Townsville. The sight of the beached outriggers adds that instant island feel to the already tropical setting of sand, sea and palm trees.
Both the Townsville Outrigger Canoe Club and the Maggie Island Outrigger Canoe Club have a presence on the Strand Beach and can be seen practicing off shore several times a week.
