Tuesday in Townsville: Strand Jetty

The sun is still low in the sky, but fishermen are already setting up on the Strand Jetty, Townsville.

Apart from the fishermen on the Strand Jetty, morning is the domain of Mums pushing strollers and leading dogs along Townsville’s 2.2km beach promenade, The Strand.  The odd traveller, pokes their head out of a campervan to cook brekkie on a free BBQ’s.  Lunch time sees office workers catching a little exercise or lunch by the sea.  After the working day finishes, a mish mash of  joggers, walkers, cyclists and kids on skateboards hit the pavement, while  out at sea the OUTRIGGERS strut their stuff.
