WOW!  Look at this view of San Vincenzo, our rented farmhouse “Agriturismo”, near Castel del Piano in Tuscany.  It was hard to tear ourselves away from the Tuscan kitchen, but we could not resist the opportunity to sit on the rustic terrace table with our breakfast.

San Vincenzo, Castel del PianoNot only could I smile smugly at the gorgeous farmhouse,  but the view of olive groves and vines stretching to the hilltop town of Montegiovi was captivating.

Pinch me, I may be dreamingI had never stayed anywhere with such a sense of place.   Bees congregated on the nearby bush of rosemary, or was it lavender?  Their drone, along with the clanging of the bells on the sheep grazing under the olive trees, melded into the perfect Tuscan morning.

A profusion of flowers and bees

The clanging of the sheeps'bellsMaybe I was sleepwalking, because this was just how I imagined it in my dreams!

Ouch!!! – was that really necessary?

Ciao!  Jan

P.S.  Have I ever mentioned how awesome I am at finding fantastic places to stay – and on a budget!
