For many years we have visited Eumundi Markets and Peregian Markets on the Sunshine Coast.  This year on our annual pilgrimage to the Sunshine Coast, to Coolum Beach in particular, we ventured the 18km inland to Yandina.  It turns out that Yandina is a fantastic country town, and how we managed to overlook it previously …

Recently our daughter and myself went on a road trip to Charlie’s Trousers, aka Charters Towers, The Towers, or simply The World. Today’s post is all about Venus Battery Charters Towers. It was a trip down memory lane, in that my good friend used to live outside of Charters Towers, and our family have spent …

The Museum of Tropical Queensland is situated in Flinders Street East, next door to the complex that houses Reef HQ. The Great Gallery It seems fitting to me that this museum, which most would associate almost wholly with the HMS Pandora who now lays in a watery grave, is situated right on the banks of …

This otherworldly family arrived at Brisbane Airport in 1995 and are still there. Meet the family. Dad Dad is tanned and muscular and cuts a dashing figure with his hi-tech loin cloth.  (I love a man in a loin cloth).  Robot is super-sensitive and in this photo is hiding behind Dad.  You can just see …

Jamie Whincup (#1 TeamVodafone Commodore – 1st) “I’m pretty spent actually, it’s been a long week. We get a huge reception when we roll in on a Tuesday or a Wednesday, have a couple of intense days and then we get on track at this crazy circuit.” When my friend offered me the chance to …
