A rooster crowing in Luang Prabang.

Every morning we walked the few steps from Manichan Guesthouse in the historic centre of Luang Prabang to the corner where the morning food market was in full swing.  The corner ruled by this rooster.  He had a real vibrancy about him, both in colour and voice.  I wonder if he was a fighting cock?

Have a Fantastic Friday.  READ MORE ABOUT LUANG PRABANG HERE.

We used to have Roosters and Chickens, they actually make the best pets ever 🙂
Dave once purchased chickens but two of them turned into Roosters….they were massive, too big and scary. One used to attack us so Dave had to kill it – the spurs on it was massive and really dangerous for little kids.
The Rooster in Laos sure looked like he ruled the roost 🙂

I have three chickens and agree they are great pets – and I love eating fresh eggs. I’ve never had a rooster but I know they are dangerous. My friend had one that used to attack. I would have got rid of it somehow.

What an incredibly handsome fellow he is! Can quite see how he would rule the roost 🙂

If I was him I would be quiet – seeing how his roost was right in the middle of a food market 🙂

I saw many like this in Bangkok and wondered the same thing. I just loved the markets and the people, what a wonderful world we live in x

I hope he is still alive. He looks like a fighting bird to me, and you only live as long as you win in that game!
