To reach Tadoussac, a well known whale watching village 212 km from Quebec City, you must first of all travel 212 km through some of the most beautiful country wedged between the Saint Lawrence River and the mountains.  Then when the Saguenay River is reached, it is all aboard the car ferry to reach Tadoussac on the far side.

This photo is taken from the Tadoussac shore of the Saguenay River, looking toward the Saint Lawrence River.

Tadoussac is a worthy spot to welcome the week-end on this Fantastic Friday.

Amazing – what a great place. I so could spend for ever just sitting there and looking out to the water. It looks so peaceful, did you stay at the Saguenay River for long?

We stayed overnight Lisa in a room with a view over the water and had dinner in a lovely little restaurant close by. It had timber floors and booths. It was a celebration “Mothers Day” dinner – even though the kids were not there 🙁

It still sounds amazing – even without the kids….actually that sounds too good to be true!
Mind you I get what you are saying about Mothers Day…my oldest couldn’t spend the whole day with me this year and it wasn’t the same.

I wasn’t too worried about the kids not being there. I was too excited at where I was 🙂

What beautiful views. 🙂 It is my dream to return to Canada and explore Quebec and the Eastern Seaboard one day. 🙂

The east and west coasts are quite different. I have not been to Novia Scotia but hope to get there one day. Quebec City is really (nice) different. I think all of Canada is great.
