Sapa situated in the far north-west of Vietnam is quite often shrouded in mist making it hard to see the terracing of the hillsides for which Sapa is famous. Budget Hubby did a great job taking this photo through the mist layer. Capturing reflections in the terrace water makes it even more fantastic.
Have a Fantastic Friday everyone.

incredible pic of the Sapa — can people walk down there or is it too dangerous? Looks like it would make a great pool !!!
Jan
Definitely Lisa. We walked down there on a day trek, right beside water buffalo ploughing the fields, pigs running around on the paths, ducks, chickens, just country life in general. It was a fantastic experience. One I will remember forever.

That is really amazing. I’d love to see how they make the terraces!
Jan
I have not seen them being made Krista but I do know that there would be a working party with lots of people. People help each other out a lot.

A gorgeous, gorgeous photo Jan… I’ve pinned it to my Travel Lust Pinterest board… one day we’ll get to Vietnam!

I never knew that there is a rice terrace in Vietnam, I only knew that there was one in the Philippines. This is an awesome picture of Sapan.

Sapa is a very different part of Vietnam Peter. It is very close to the Chinese border and is very close to Fansipan the highest mountain in Vietnam. Expect snow, rain and mist. I loved it for being so surprising. The culture of the Hmong Tribes living there is great to see as well. Thanks for commenting Peter.
