No Sun on the Strand

Tuesday in Townsville When it rains at the beach

Beach time in Sunny North Queensland and the sun is shining nowhere to be found.

Grabbing budget dog, umbrella and camera, I seized the opportunity for a different kind of walk.

In Townsville it hardly ever rains, so it is exciting when it does.  BTT is littered with tropical posts featuring BLUE SKIES but there is still beauty to be found on a cloudy day.

Looks like Night, but it is 8 a.m.

No Sun on the Strand

No Sun + No Wind = Good Reflections

No Sun but nice Reflections

Hello Coconut Palms

No Picnics Here

Sodden fallen leaves.

No Sun and Sodden Leaves

And happy foreshore vegetation.

Happy Creepers

No Sun Maggie

A cloudy day captured, to treasure during the long hot dry months.

So beautiful. I LOVE rainy days and dark, overcast ones, maybe because they’re so rare here. 🙂 The mood is beautiful and everything feels quiet and peaceful. 🙂

It was a lovely walk, and luckily it didn’t rain!

Is it cold up your way? Its freezing down here in NSW!
I love your Reflection images – especially the one of the trees in the footpath.
Good on you for being brave enough to get out for a walk 🙂

No Lisa it is still warm up here. I heard it is cold down your way. I hope you are nice and warm in your motor home?

Townsville looks like Europe at the moment…continually cloudy & wet! I love your reflection shots…you’re certainly making the most of the sun not shining!

It is funny – I was just thinking today that it would be funny if you were having lovely sunshine in Europe while it was so dark and cloudy over here!
